Many rural elderly in Cambodia live impoverished and lonely lives in their old age, often without access to even the most basic supplies or personal care.
With no pensions, social security, or government-sponsored programs in place, the elderly are often left isolated and vulnerable.

Since 2015, from our base in Kampong Speu, we have been reaching out to some of the poorest and most neglected elderly in nearby villages. Our work is both practical and personal.
We visit them in their homes to offer companionship and check on their needs, and we host community events, celebrations, and shared meals that allow them to feel included and cared for.
We also donate basic food supplies, assist with small house repairs, and provide materials and emotional support to restore dignity and improve quality of life.

“To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors.”
~ Tia Walker
We aim to show these elderly men and women that they are valued members of the community, deserving of respect, compassion, and connection.
The challenges these elderly face are not only physical but also deeply emotional. Many speak of feeling forgotten or abandoned, with little opportunity for social interaction or joy in their daily lives.
Every visit, food package, or repaired roof may seem small, but together these acts make a profound difference, reminding the elderly that they are not alone and that they are cared for.
